①まず、通話する１人目の相手の番号をかけます。
②相手が出たら、＊＃２とダイヤルします。
③英語の音声案内(“Initiating conference call.”)後、２人目の番号をダイヤルします。 ④英語の音声案内(“Please speak the conference invitation greeting after the tone and your recording with the pound(#) key.”)後、トーン信号がしたら相手が相互間通話に加わるように招待のメッセージを言ってください(｢中村です。電話を受けるために1を押してください。｣など)。録音終了後、#を押してください。この録音されたメッセージが相手に伝わり誰からかかっているかがわかるようになっています。⑤しばらくしますと２人目につながります。２人目が出たら、②へ戻り３人目、４人目と増やしていき自分を含め最大16名まで相互間通話ができます。
注意：カンファレンスコールを受ける側は電話を取ると④で録音されたメッセージを聞きます。その後、英語の音声案内(“Press 1 to join the conference, to decline, press 2 or hang up.”)が流れます。カンファレンスコールに参加するなら１を押し、参加しないなら２を押すかそのまま電話を切ります。受ける側が１を押すとカンファレンスコールに参加し相互間通話が開始されます。上記の④で示したようなメッセージを入れれば英語がわからない方が受けても１を押してカンファレンスコールに参加することが期待できます。受けた側が何のことかわからず電話を切るか、しばらくそのままにしていると自動的にその方との通話が切れるようになっています。
You can conference up to 16 people worldwide using your GlobalPhone account . Here is how it works:
① To start, place a call to your first destination. ② After the first destination answers, press ＊#2 to add another party to your conversation. ③ You will then get a recording that states initiating conference call(“Initiating conference call.”). You then will be prompted to dial the phone number of the third party. ④ You will be asked to record your name(“Please speak the conference invitation greeting after the tone and your recording with the pound key.”). You will do that so the next party knows who is calling. ⑤ Once they answer the phone, all calls are tied together. Repeat this process from ② to add up to 16 people. Note: When the third party answers the phone, he/she will hear the message recorded at ④. By this, he/she will know who is calling.
